Moving started to new Istanbul Airport
Months after planning, the moving to the new Istanbul Airport finally started from the old Istanbul Atatürk Airport. After the weekend, most of the moving has to be completed. The massive transport of ground vehicles and luggage equipment started early last night. Estimated is that the equipment is more than 50 thousand tons, moved by 1,800 personnel. They hope to complete the whole process in 48 hours. Istanbul Atatürk Airport will close on Saturday morning 2 a.m, local time. The last flight will leave for Singapore, and 12 hours later the next flight is scheduled from the new Istanbul Airport. You can track the flight on our flight radar!
