At the airport, NFL Star Removed From American Airlines Flight

On Sunday, November 27th, around 09:30 ET, in-demand American Football star Odell Beckham Jr. was escorted by police off an American Airlines flight after a disagreement between passengers. After numerous attempts to wake up a passenger who appeared to be unresponsive, the cabin crew notified the police, and the plane was suspended at the gate while they were called onto the aircraft. Once they boarded however, Beckham quickly woke up and yielded to their commands A Boeing 787 that was originally scheduled to leave for Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) from the Miami International Airport (MIA) experienced an alleged disruption during the flight. After finally departing from the aircraft, the plane arrived safely at LAX. There were no reported injuries associated with this incident. Failure to comply According to the flight attendants aboard the aircraft, Beckham was unresponsive and they called the police. The cabin crew then performed CPR, thinking he might have a medical emergency. After returning to the gate, police boarded the plane and asked him to leave. For his refusal, all passengers were deplaned, and he was told again to leave. He complied by disembarking himself. An official statement from the Miami-Dade police department was released that stated the following concerning the deplaning. After the officers arrived on the scene, they asked Mr. Beckham several times to get out of the plane that he was sitting in. Eventually, they were able to physically remove him from the aircraft and asked if he would agree to leave without incident. American Airlines also released a statement concerning the incident. It stated, Due to a testy customer refusing to take the safety precautions and fasten their seatbelt, a flight returned to the gate before takeoff. There are two sides to every story. Football star David Beckham was on a flight, and the flight crew claimed that he wasn’t fastening his seatbelt. His attorney, Daniel Davillier, spoke for him and stated that he had fallen asleep with a blanket over his head and was awakened as the plane returned to its gate at which point the cabin crew told him he would have to deplane because he failed to fasten his seatbelt. Davillier made the following statement in response to his client’s reaction to the flight attendant’s comment, Beckham does not make his way onto the plane, as he was asleep and did not hear their requests for him to deplane. No problems arise from this, in fact, Mr Beckham is even able to walk up and down the aisle with a very low profile. The pilot simply tells him that it’s too late now, and either he will have to get off or everyone else has to. Mr. Beckham was forced awake from his nap, led from the flight, and removed from a plane on which he had been sleeping. He was willing to comply with the seatbelt requirement, but the flight attendant felt it necessary to prove that she had the authority to remove him from the plane. Unfortunately, this incident was unnecessary and should not be tolerated. Despite the events leading up to the aforementioned dispute, no legal charges or lawsuits have been brought against any party. However, as the allegations continue to fuel this noisy dispute, further conflicts may arise.
