Turkish Airlines Will Be Expanding to 28 Cities in THE US, Europe and Asia.

Turkish Airlines has given a list of 28 destinations they’re targeting from their Istanbul Airport hub. They include five in the Americas, ten in Europe, six in Asia-Pacific, and seven in Africa and the Middle East. There are no indications yet when they will take effect. It’s also subject to aircraft availability, bilateral traffic rights, and more destinations that might come first.

In the Americas

Turkish Airlines will consihttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turkish_Airlinesder adding flights to Orlando, Detroit, and Denver in the near future. If and when they happen, these routes would be added to their 15-city US network that includes key growth markets like Austin, Dallas, and Los Angeles. Those airports will join Atlanta, Boston, Chicago O’Hare, Dallas Fort Worth (started in September 2021), Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York JFK, Newark (May 2021), San Francisco, Seattle (May 2022), and Washington Dulles. Turkish Airlines has launched flights from Istanbul to Panama this week. The airline has been dedicated to expanding the number of destinations it serves in South America. Now, Turkish Airlines serves five major cities across the continent, including Bogotá, Buenos Aires, Caracas, and São Paulo.

Europe and the CIS

For the past few years, Turkish Airlines has been focusing on routes to Eastern Europe, which led them to choose Bergen, Krakow, Iasi in Romania, A Coruña in Spain, Lăkran (in Azerbaijan), Makhachkala in Russia and Timisoara in Romania. With Nantes’s new deal with Transavia France, France will now be the key route for Turkish Airlines. More to Asia-Pacific

Turkish Airlines has an extensive Asian outpost, connecting five different cities. These are: Atyrau, Aktobe, Penang, Phnom Penh, and Sydney. Air Astana and SCAT currently serve the airport, but Aktobe is on SCAT. Turkish Airlines would focus heavily on connecting to the Kazakh cities and beyond. Indeed, Central Asia is an important region for them, and not just because of historical ties.
