At Jet2, we’re constantly expanding our operations to cater to the needs of a constantly changing industry. We plan to do this with our latest move into London

The expansion has already enticed more than 14,000 travelers wanting to reach the UK capital “on-jet” this year. The low-cost carrier is launching a second aircraft to its London Stansted airport next summer, boosting capacity from 42 destinations to 225 flights weekly. Jet2 has increased their capacity of flights from Stansted Airport Jet2 has revealed that it’ll be operating a 15th aircraft at London Stansted Airport from next summer. In fact, during peak travel periods over the summer, Jet2 will temporarily station an additional 16th aircraft at STN to cope with demand and capacity. Next year marks the carrier’s biggest-ever schedule with 11 of the 42 destinations from Stansted, available for six months. Jet2.com CEO Steve Heapy said: “The 15th-based plane allows us to take even more customers on our award-winning package holidays, which offer them unprecedented choice and value. With an 18% increase in seats over our typical summer schedule, we’re ready for a big summer next year.” We are going to expand our fleet. Jet2 has just ordered 35 new Airbus A320neo family aircraft, taking its order book with Airbus to 98 airplanes on firm and options for another 48. Jet2 expects 10-12 deliveries of new aircraft each year until 2033 at the latest in response to the pandemic concerns. On November 16th, Jet2 Airlines held a press conference in the Algarve where its CEO Steve Heapy explained that the airline is not focusing on any other destinations, but on their core European market around the Mediterranean. He said that “there’s a lot more we can do in our existing destinations before we do anything else,” and eventually wants to grow them.
