O’Leary wants his successor to be a woman
A day before international women’s day, the CEO of Ryanair, O’Leary, announced this. This is because he would like his successor to be the opposite of himself. Ryainair wants to appoint someone who is currently employed by Ryanair. As there is only one senior executive female, the options seem limited. O’Leary says he wants a woman as leader who is “empathetic, loving and caring” According to Leary, this will cause a needed fresh wind in the company. It is expected that a new CEO will be appointed in the Autumn of this year.
